Linux

Support for the Linux operating system is fully integrated into Dedicated Computing processes and systems.
Personnel
Development and Operations team members hold Linux certifications including RHCE and LPI.
Platform Design
We design platforms to support various Linux distributions, and validate those distributions via internal processes and recognized 3rd party certifications. Optional hardware components such as video and telephony cards are tested and validated from within Linux. Documentation is provided identifying which distributions of Linux are supported by each platform. System performance tuning from within a Linux environment is also supported.
Application Integration
We integrate application software and system functionality onto Linux platforms, including: power management; storage subsystem performance; boot-time optimization; IPMI support and integration; OS footprint minimization; FLASH booting; script development, and security hardening.
Manufacturing
All manufacturing processes support Linux systems, including in-house image creation and installation tools, system testing, asset tracking, sourcing and managing of Linux licenses and the ability to create Linux-based support and restore CD-ROMs
Licensing
We can load software images including operating systems supplied by the customer, or we can provide licensed installations of SuSE Linux.
Support
Technical support and service teams can support hardware functionality issues from within customer supplied or commercially available Linux distributions.
Cluster Applications
We are experienced in the design and architecture of Linux-based OEM clusters and related issues including diskless/PXE booting, interconnects and hardware monitoring.
