Reliability
Dedicated Computing performs HALT and HASS testing on customer specific applications to harden/ruggedize the design and predict reliability during the life of the product.
The HALT process supports continuous improvement of the product, identifying the "weakest link(s)" and providing input to the design team. Following remediation of that weakest link the tests are re-run to validate. This cycle continues until the test environment is no longer realistic.
HASS testing is performed to predict the reliability of a product in a customer's installed base. This is typically performed on a product near or at the release stage following validation and HALT testing. This provides fact-based answers based on various predictive models.
