Hardware installation and testing

Hardware integration is the addition of components to the base compute engine that are needed for the specific OEM application. It can include items such as application-specific data-acquisition cards, frame-grabber cards, telephony cards, etc. Hardware integration can also include standard peripherals such as hard drives, optical drives, etc.

We can also kit any additional hardware, manuals and cables that may not be installed in the compute engine but which will be needed for installation or use of the system.

Customer-specific devices

OEM-specified hardware components may be added into the OEM compute engine, but acquired and inventory-managed by Dedicated Computing.

We validate the functionality of the components within the compute engine and manage the supply chain. The OEM customer orders a single part number from Dedicated Computing and receives a complete unit ready for sale.

Customer-supplied product

DC can order OEM-designed components from the customer’s fulfillment organization, inventory-manage the parts, and install them into the OEM compute engine.

Revision control

Revision control and record retention programs tailored to the unique needs of each customer include a wide range of capabilities, including:

  • Full hardware, BIOS, OS and software revision control.
  • Hardware revision control allowing minor revision changes without affecting the customer's software image.
  • Application-ready systems allowing for hardware changes of common components which do not require significant re-qualification for most applications.

A wide range of revision control options help customers minimize the cost of re-qualifications while keeping their product technically current.
