Storage is a driving factor in many OEM applications including medical imaging, video content creation, DVRs, and cluster computing. Dedicated Computing provides a wide range of storage products and services designed for the needs of OEMs.

Compute engines designed specifically for storage-centric applications, available with large internal storage capacity and both fixed and removable drive configurations.

External “bolt-on” storage solutions for OEM products support FC, SCSI and iSCSI architectures.

Storage technologies

We partner with leading drive and controller manufactures to support SATA(2), SCSI variants and SAS technologies.

Applications requiring read/write performance above the capability of spinning media are supported with SDRAM-based solid state drives and applications with high shock/vibration or high MTBF requirements are supported with FLASH-based solid state drive technologies.

Optimization and configuration

In addition to extensive performance testing, which can identify solutions speeding performance dramatically, we can completely configure products during manufacture, greatly reducing or eliminating time-consuming setup by the OEM. Software image loading, installation of large datasets, RAID array preparation can all be incorporated into the manufacturing process.

Other storage services include design and implementation of recovery solutions for system software images and large datasets, and the integration of Storage Area Network technologies into OEM clusters.
