Proper thermal design and validation is critical in system development and in understanding the performance of any compute engine in the end application. We perform extensive thermal validation to rigorous standards. We also validate the compute engine to each customer's application profile including the specific hardware used and the software usage profile of that application.
In addition, when the compute engine is integrated into a customer's cart, console or rack, we will design and validate the entire assembly for optimal thermals. This is in everyone's best interest as poor thermals are a common cause of poor reliability and can also impact the performance of the system as key components "throttle down" to protect themselves.
This design and testing is performed using our in-house thermal chambers, including a large walk-in chamber, keeping test cycle time as short as possible. The use of thermal modeling software ensures sound design practices early in the process and reduces trial and error testing.
